Making players design – UX och embodied speldesign

I investigated how different forms of designer artifacts (Lego, prototypes, storyboards) influenced the types of ideas that arose in game design work. The different artifacts invited to focus on specific parts of a game, for example, creating storyboards meant that ideas around places were in focus. This was part of my master's thesis in Design at Link?ping University.

My work

Wrote Master Thesis. I created a storyboard and two working prototypes based on the participants' ideas. Both prototypes were programmed in Visual Studio, with Visual Basic and C#. I used Nintendo Wii motes attached to a PC to make the interaction work.
